5-30-18 Bible Verse of the Day: Ephesians 2:19-20
Old-Site of the Day: The Website of Speed and Time, in 1998 A fan site for Mike Jittlov, independent animator & star of The Wizard of Speed & Time. You should watch that movie; Mike gave someone permission to put it online for free. I found this site while looking through Google Groups, there's an old Usenet group for Jittlov. Still fairly active looking, tho he hasn't done much since the early 90's. 581;118

5-29-18 Bible Verse of the Day: Galatians 3:27-29
Old-Site of the Day: RinaudosReproductions.com This site's barely been touched by the WayBack Machine, but it's in there. Here it is in 2003. Earlier archived versions don't work well enough to post. "Rinaudo’s Reproductions was founded to meet the need for restoration of antique Victorian lighting fixtures in private homes and historical landmarks." Also has a page on Photoplayers, big machines which made music for silent movies. They're kinda noisey. 470;150

5-28-18 Bible Verse of the Day: Proverbs 21:15
Old-Site of the Day: RinkWorks.com "RinkWorks is a privately owned entertainment web site based in New Hampshire. We are committed to serving you the very best entertainment life has to offer. Our vast web productions range from the serious to the silly. Bookmark us. We're always updating our existing features and thinking about potential new ones." Since '96 according to the copyright; earliest archive from '98. Still updated. 608;125

5-27-18 Bible Verse of the Day: Matther 5:9
Old-Site of the Day: Cobbles.com This used to be the website of a bublisher, Cobblestone Entertainment. Cobblestone published a book, Hollywood Renegades, which chronicled the history of independent producers in the golden age of Hollywood. (30's-50's) Since then, the site's become an archive of info on early independent film producers. Has sections on Walt Disney, Charlie Chaplin, et al. Here's a fun page on Samuel Goldwyn's malproisms. 630;104

5-25-18 Bible Verse of the Day: 1 Peter 2:1-10
Old-Site of the Day: Filmack.com Filmack is a family-owned company which has made movie trailers since 1919. They made that old "Let's All Go To the Lobby" short. Theire website's remained virtualluy unchanged since 2001. Still in business, but just barely. Digital films don't wear out, so no one needs to buy new prints. Besides that, there's a lot of new competition. The owner moved the business from a store front to his basement, & cut back on staff. His kids aren't interested in the studio, so it'll probably close when he retires. :( 356;104

5-23-18 Bible Verse of the Day: 1 Peter 5:5-8
Old-Site of the Day: CheatDB.com Another abandoned video game site, in need of some love & maintence. Looks like it has a database problem. Focused on cheat codes. Here's the earliest archive I can find, from 2003. Did it start as a search engine for cheat code sites? 644;200

Old-Site of the Day: Retrobase.net "At Retrobase.net you will find all the information about the classic video games and retro consoles. Here you will be able to check all the important game details including screenshots, banners, release dates, platforms, developers, game genres and overviews." Online since 2000, according to the copyright. Earliest archive I can find is from 2002. Probably last updated in 2016. I miss game sites like this; simple things made by one or two people in their spare time, but with a ton of info. And fast; most indipendent sites today are on some sort of bloated blogging platform. Sadly, it looks like this site has some sort of problem which keeps me from looking at their lists of games, & it looks like the Internet Archive didn't crawl deeply enough to save the game pages either. Even Google doesn't seem to have links to the deeper pages saved. :( 521;128

5-20-18 Curlie.org, the DMOZ successor project, is now accepting new editor applications. DMOZ was a (nearly) 20 year old web directory organized by volunteers. It broke web pages into a series of categories users could browse through. It lost its home & domain name when AOL decided to stop supporting the project in 2017. Here's my article from when it closed.

5-18-18 Bible Verse of the Day: Psalm 46:10
Old-Site of the Day: GameGenie.com A cheat code website opperating since 1996! The earliest archive I can find is from 1998...but it's a wedding site. ?_? The domain must've changed hands. By 2000 the video game site had taken over the domain. Looks like they used to offer news & reviews too. Has nothing to do with the Galoob game enhancement toy, from what I can tell. 370;95

5-17-18 Old-Site of the Day: The Bell 47 Helicopter "Here are just a few links to websites and organizations connected to the Bell 47 Helicopter. 8-11-18 Bible Verse of the Day: Psalm 119:14
Old-Site of the Day: ClassicThemes.com "Classic U.S. TV Themes, Old-Time Radio Themes and Easy Listening/Light Instrumental Music of the 1930s - 1960s We honor composers and arrangers who were true craftsmen in instrumental pop and media music, and memorable compositions which are their cultural legacy for us to enjoy for all time... This site includes material researched and under copyright since 1960. It was moved to its original ISP on January 26, 1998. It was moved to its 2nd ISP on August 16, 2001. It was moved here to its 3rd ISP on November 11, 2003. It was moved here to its 4th ISP on June 5, 2005. It was last updated on October 22, 2017." Well, that's a nice history summary they've provided! Sadly, I don't see any recordings of classic TV/Radio theme songs; just a ton of info on 'em. 503;108

8-9-18 Bible Verse of the Day: Luke 12:6-7 322;47

8-8-18 Old-Site of the Day: Watermarks Technical Creations page Just found this today. It has collections of code, some of which are in the public domain. Here's an overview of 3D graphics, in Pascal. Here's a simple Public Domain 3D engine, in QBasic. Here's a texture mapping demo, also in QBasic. I'll let you explore; there's a lot of info there, & the layout's not too bad; it's a fairly visually appealling site, especially for 1997.
This is completely off topic, but I want to save this link, so... How much do dogs eat, in pounds? (It says 2-4 percent of their body weight per day.)
Bible Verse of the Day: Psalm 149:4 675;158

8-7-18 Bible Verse of the Day: Proverbs 25:2-5
